For all you brides who have yet to find your perfect venue, consider The Colony Bay Club in Bonita Springs. It truly has a charm and elegance unique to other wedding sites in the Southwest Florida region. The site is known for its outstanding views of the Estero Bay, and houses a winding staircase that can very easily take one's breath away at first glance. It was the perfect set up for an extraordinary harp performance.
Our harpist played prelude music at the bottom of the staircase as guests arrived. Then, for the ceremony, she moved to a landing within the staircase, one story above. The acoustics of this room are excellent for live instruments. Just by being in the grand foyer, the harp's quality of sound was simply enchanting, the exact ambience that the bride was hoping for.
After the ceremony, the harp made another appearance in a different location within this intimate wedding venue. The third floor was naturally the final location since the wedding's overall flow was an ascension through the tower-like Bay Clubhouse. I think of the Bay Club as a modern day Floridian castle. And what better way to visit a castle than to enjoy the melodies of it's ancient acquaintance, the harp.
