This past weekend's wedding featured a lovely saying of "I Do's" amidst a wooden dock at one of Fort Myers Beach's most popular venues, Doc Ford's. The waterfront restaurant features pretty views of the marina and Matanzas Pass.
Two High School sweethearts, Brittany and Mason, finally tied the knot in front of their close family and friends. They both wanted a laid back beach'y' feel to their ceremony music, and chose the solo sounds of the acoustic guitar.

Yesterday afternoon, we had the privilege of providing music for our first ceremony in Punta Gorda. The wedding took place at Ponce de Leon Park, a 10 acre stretch of wetland, mangrove forests and sweeping beaches showcasing Charlotte harbor, and of course named for the famous Spanish explorer who discovered the area back in 1513.
Lisa and Jay requested a solo cellist to serenade their special day. The cello is one of my favorite solo instruments simply because of its rich tones and lower pitch register.
The songs chosen were very classy and included the traditional Wedding March by Mendelssohn, All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera, and even Bach Suite No. 1 in G Major. The Bach Suite is so beautiful and is very well known to many ears even if one doesn't recognize the title. Many TV commercials for high end jewelry and watches have featured the piece.
Contemporary songs were also present during the prelude music as guests arrived. They include A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban.
Thanks again to our bride and groom for letting us share in their wedding day memories.
