Our last wedding for 2015 was held on December 11th at the ever popular Marco Beach Ocean Resort. For Melodic Expressions this destination wedding began on the 10th, a thursday night with a welcome dinner for all of the guests in town for the wedding. For this, bride Jenny contracted live piano music to be performed for the duration of dinner from 7-9pm. The music included melodies that were relaxed and those that provided a nice ambient background to the many conversations being held by the guests.
On Friday, a beach ceremony was the venue chosen for the couple to say their "I do's," and this was serenaded by our string quartet. Here is their wedding ceremony setlist below. Curious to hear what these sound like played by a string quartet? Click on the links which will direct you to various YouTube videos I found which feature the songs played by a string quartet ensemble.
Air in D, Bach
Entrance of the Queen of Sheba, Handel
Meditation from Thais, Massenet
Sheep May Softly Graze, Bach
Can’t Help Falling in Love, Presley
Seating of the Mothers
Spring Song from Songs without Words - Medelssohn
Bridal Party Processional
Can you Feel the Love Tonight - Elton John
That's Amore- Dean Martin
I have to mention that the song chosen for the bridal processional was a request made by the bride's father and not the bride. This was a first for me and I must say I love the idea! What a nice change to have the father of the bride chose what song he would like to walk his daughter down the aisle. This will definitely be an option to keep in mind for future brides wishing to switch things up a little bit and honor their Dad in a very special way.
Congratulations to Jenny and her new hubby! Thanks for having us perform for your life's most special of moments.
