Last weekend's wedding was at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. This wedding was certainly one for the books! While I have done weddings here in the past, I have never performed for one that so utilized the many different site options the resort offers. Three different courtyards were used for the day's festivities. The ceremony was held in the Cypress Courtyard which was to the left of the main water fountain in the picture above. The cocktail hour was back behind the ceremony site on a terrace in the Banyan Courtyard, and the reception was on a beautiful open lawn to the far right of the main waterfall, The Royal Palm Courtyard. Overall, the Hyatt has gorgeous outdoor landscapes, water views and artistically designed fountains that make having an outdoor wedding positively perfect.
The couple, Kayla and Brian chose a trio for their ceremony and cocktail music consisting of Piano, Cello and Violin. Their ceremony music was especially important to them since they wanted to incorporate specific songs, especially those by their all time favorite artist, Dave Matthews Band. The recessional was DMB's Ants Marching. The link to this song is a performance by the Piano Guys. Any brides out there reading this who haven't checked out this group are missing out. The Piano Guys have published many different variations of popular songs that are just perfect for weddings. Those brides and grooms who want popular music with a mixture of classical/contemporary instruments need to consider some of their arrangements. The other DMB song was during the unity ceremony when Kayla and Brian and their son Declan created a small structure with legos. The song for this was You and Me.
Kayla also chose to walk down to a song that I've never played for a bridal processional before. It is so beautiful and I will definitely mention it to any brides who are Coldplay fans. She walked down the aisle to Yellow.
The cocktail hour featured songs by some of their favorite artist including the Beatles, U2, Bill Joel, Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran and some Elvis thrown in too.
Many congratulations to Kayla and Brian as they start their new life together as husband and wife!
