Yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity to perform music for a lovely wedding at The Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples. This was my first time ever performing at this venue and I was stunned by both its beauty and sophistication. Jade and Evan, the bride and groom, requested piano music as guests arrived, and then for two very special pieces by the Beatles for their ceremony. The first, Here Comes the Sun for Jade's walk down the aisle, and the second, All You Need is Love for their exit.
For the parent's and bridal party, the couple chose a piece that they discovered on Melodic Expressions website, The Valley by Kelly Thomas. This piece happens to be written by my sister and is a very romantic, eloquent piece - something that really seemed to complement the lush and elegant surroundings of the venue.
The wedding was organized and planned by Casa Lopez Events, a boutique wedding planning service in Naples. I had a great experience working with Abby, the event coordinator that referred me to Jade and Evan.
The ceremony site was so perfect. It was out on wonderfully manicured lawn just past the courtyard, and faced a large golf green with large majestic trees and palms. The surrounding flowers and vegetation were very colorful and cheerful. I especially liked one of the flower beds that consisted solely of gerber daisies.
